The Application of Cassava Starch

The application of cassava starch is more wide range,such as, food, confectionery, sweeteners, glues, plywood, textiles, paper, biodegradable products,and bear, plastic and drugs,etc. There is two main type of starch ,such as, food starch and modify starch.,the details application as bellow,

Food Starch 

Food starch is mainly consumed in the food industry ,such as, confectionery, sweeteners,frozen food, frying food,salad dressings, sauces, and infant foods, glucose ,fructose and maltose.I would like to share with some information here.

1)Glucose & Fructose

Glucose and fructose from starch used alternative to sucrose in canned fruits and jam. Cassava-based sweeteners are preferred in beverage formulations for features improved handling and enhanced product features.

2)Candy
Tapioca is an important raw material in glue creation. Dextrates starch-based binder is great and is used in many applications including pre gummed papers, tapes, labels, stamps and envelopes.

Modify starch

The modify starch mainly focus on the industry, modify starch derivatives or starch has been applied for thickening,binding, texturing,paper mill, plastic bag ,plastic product,biodegradable,textile,Paper mill.I would like to share with some information here.

1) Biodegradable products
Starch can be used as a biodegradable polymer to replace plastics in packaging materials.

2) Plywood
Glue made from cassava is an important material in the manufacture of plywood. The quality of plywood depends very much on the glue used.

3) Paper
Converted starch is used in the wet stage flocculate paper pulp, improve speed and reduce the loss of pulp.Native starch and modified also used in the encoding and the size of the paper, improve strength, codings bound with sheets, and controlling ink consumption to improve print quality.

4) Textile
Cassava starch is used in the three stages of textile processing: size hard fibers and protect it during the weaving process, to improve color uniformity in the printing process, and to make durable fabric and shine
