The main application of cassava chips in industrial field, one of food industrial field is for humans consumption chips, another of industrial field is for animal feed, alcohol,ethanol,cassava starch industry etc.

1.Food industrial for human consumption chips

Cassava roots is the third largest source of carbonhydrates in tropical areas after rice and corn,such as, Africa, South America,Asia etc. The cassava chips made by deep-frying thinly sliced roots, are a popular snack in the world. Compared to potato chips, cassava chips are more healthier because of less acrylamide. Now in Africa, they just choose cassava roots to make food chips for human because the cassava roots had planted huge and it is more natural & organic.

2.Industrial field for animal feed,alcohol,ethanol

– Produce ethanol

Ethanol is made with cassava as the basic ingredient. The dried cassava chips turn into ethanol which can be used for fuel, chemical industry purposes, cosmetics, and pharmacy.

– Produce animal feed

Cassava is a high-carbohydrate, root-stalk-based energy source. Due to the higher energy content, cassava is frequently used in compound feed to replace higher-priced energy feeds like corn or wheat. Most of animal feed mill factory in Africa & Asia use cassava roots to make dry chips, then grinding into dry powder, finally mixing with some additional materials pulverized it and turn into a pellet for animals because dry chips is more health for animal.

– Produce cassava starch.

Cassava roots also can make cassava starch, and some clients also use dry cassava chips to make cassava starch,the dried cassava chips will be grind ,feeding water and pressed, then getting pulp, the pulp will be separated out of cassava starch. The cassava starch can be used for industrial for paper mill, plastic bag ,carton etc.
